In September, MePLUS students explored plants at the McMaster Greenhouse and learned about bones and biological anthropology. For skill-building, they participated in icebreaker games to get to know each other and learned the importance of first impressions and introductions. Students were also placed in mentorship groups to ask our fantastic mentors any questions they had about STEM! On October 1 2025, the Latin American Network at McMaster University (LANMU) hosted an event in CIBC hall to celebrate the start of Latin American Heritage month. The event was filled with delicious food, live performance and a vibrant energy that filled the room. Two new initiatives were introduced at this event. First, a student led -journal “Entre Mundos” and BRASA McMaster, a space for Brazilian students.
